Selena Gomez shared a photo after attending Demi Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour, marking the first time they’ve reunited publicly in nine years.

You’re gonna want to give your heart a break after seeing this.

Because Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have finally reunited publicly for the first time in almost 10 years, the former stepping out to attend the opening night of Demi’s It’s Not That Deep Tour in Orlando, Florida April 13.

Sharing snaps from the concert—as well as a video of her dancing in Demi’s merch—to her Instagram Story, Selena praised her Princess Protection Program costar.

“I am in tears,” she wrote over an image of Demi. “This was hands down one of the best shows. Oh and the VOCALS? Psh blown away.”

But not only did Selena attend the concert in a special VIP section, she also visited her fellow Disney Channel alum backstage, sharing a snap of the pair hugging each other and smiling at the camera. The Rare Beauty founder added a red heart over the image.

Demi, too, reshared the picture to her own Story, writing, “Thank you so much for coming!!! Loved seeing you.”

The reunion surely tugged at the heart strings of any Zillennial, marking the first time Demi and Selena have reunited publicly since they were photographed at an InStyle event in 2017. While the pair always kept it polite, they’d grown apart in the 2010s.

Despite rumors of a deeper feud that followed their falling out, in the years since the pair have made it clear there were never any hard feelings. In fact, earlier this year Demi detailed her gratitude for her long friendship with Selena, referencing their work as children on Barney & Friends in the early 2000s.

“What was beautiful is, Selena and I had a friendship prior to Disney Channel because we were actually on Barney together,” Demi explained on the March 3 episode of the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast. “So, I felt this safety when I came into the Disney Channel, having a built-in friendship there, already.”

“I’m so grateful for that,” the 33-year-old—who starred on the children’s TV show with Selena for two seasons from 2002 to 2004—emphasized, “will always be grateful for the friendship that I have and continue to have with her.”

And when Selena released her album I Said I Love You First and tied the knot with Benny Blanco, Demi—who married husband Jutes in May 2025—was there cheering her on.

“I couldn’t be happier for her,” the Camp Rock alum shared on Watch What Happens Live in September. “I just wish her the best.”

“I have listened to the album—really, really great job,” she added. “I love the songs on it, ‘Bluest Flame’ was my song.”

As for Selena, she recently discussed the joy of her Disney cohort all succeeding in life.

“We were all, you know, from the Jonas Brothers to Miley Cyrus and Demi, and then it was Zendaya,” Selena said during an August appearance on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, “it’s just so cool to see all the people you went to school with, if you will, it’s good to see them all do their thing.
